President'sMessage

Dear Friends,
It seems the longer I live, the more society pressures me to lower my expectations of what it truly means to be a leader. As I think about the world today, I am often reminded of passages in the Bible that speak of God’s people being the answer to society’s problems. In the Scriptures, God repeatedly takes ordinary people and raises them up to be leaders that have a lasting impact on the society they live in. He gives them wisdom and strength that enables them to be a blessing to a lost and confused world. I am convinced that our society is thirsty for this type of leader. Leaders who are modern day Josephs who will stand before the world and speak wisdom that will cause society to ask, “Where did you get such knowledge and understanding?”
Being a part of shaping this type of leader is what drives my passion for, and absolute belief in, Christian education. Is there any greater environment given to us to shape the next generation for the glory of God? Christian education allows us to educate and develop the “whole” person. Here at Southlands Christian Schools, I not only expect to have graduating students that will attend the greatest universities in the world, but I have a confident expectation that those graduates will set institutions of higher learning on fire for the glory of God. Christian education produces men and women full of brilliant ideas, impeccable character, and a heart for this nation and the nations beyond. It yields the type of leader that is in passionate pursuit of bringing pleasure to God through loving and leading His people into the fullness of His plan. This is one of the many reasons why an investment in Christian education is one of the wisest investments you will ever make for your child. It goes far beyond the financial investment you make today; it reaches and impacts the future of your child and the entire world for God’s glory! As you contemplate who you allow to teach, train, and educate your child during these vital years of his or her life, I encourage you to prayerfully consider investing in Christian education. It is one of the most important investments a parent can make.
