Every year, over 200 international students embark on a journey to the USA, where Southlands connects them with warm-hearted families eager to share their lives and faith. Imagine the joy of welcoming these students into your loving Christian home, where they can immerse themselves in American culture, savor diverse foods, and experience genuine hospitality. 

Many of these students form lasting bonds with their host families and are profoundly impacted by the demonstration of Christ's love. Some even make the transformative decision to embrace Christ during their stay, inspired by the kindness and grace they receive.

Interested in becoming a host family? Here's how to apply:

Qualifications: 

  • You must be a legal resident in the US. 
  • You must be a born-again Christian. 
  • You must be fluent in English.

Application Procedure:

Step 1: Fill out the application
Step 2: Schedule a Home Visit
Step 3: Pass the LiveScan 

Necessary Documents:1. FOUR(4) pictures (in JPG format):
    a. A photo shows all family members living with you
    b. A photo that shows the front of your home
    c. A photo that shows the bedroom(s) our students would inhabit in your home
    d. A photo that shows the living room/common area interior of your home  

2. A copy of your driver's license
3. A copy of your auto insurance
4. A copy of your homeowner or rental insurance
5. A W-9 Form (download here)
